About BARK’s Green Card Training

This training is essential for anyone entering, managing or working in natural areas. It has become an operational requirement with many local, state and federal government agencies. We focus on Environmental Biosecurity in Australian bushland and forests and use Phytophthora Dieback
as a widespread example of a significant threat to native plant communities and ecosystem health.

This was developed with significant input from BARK Environmental in collaboration with the WA government, Dieback Working Group Inc., Universities and Industry. We are registered and qualified with 30 years of experience to deliver high quality training to your business.

On completion of a short multiple-choice assessment, participants will receive a DWG Green Card™ that is recognised by government agencies in Western Australia and is valid for 3 years.

Learn about:

  • Why is “Environmental Biosecurity” important to your and Australia’s future.
  • How to avoid and mitigate the risk of spreading plant diseases and weeds into “vulnerable areas”.
  • Practical tactics to identify and report pest and disease threats you observe in the field.

  • Current Best-Practice planning to manage Phytophthora Dieback during your activity.
  • Where to source more information to help protect your land and the environment.

Learn new skills:

  • Introduction to Dieback signage and map reading skills.

  • How to thoroughly inspect a 4WD vehicle is Clean-On-Entry to achieve regulatory compliance.

  • Safe-Work-Methods during 4WD inspections.
